About EBE
El Bosque Encantado—el boh-skay en-cahn-tah-doe—is a Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center for children aged 16 months to five years.
We believe in a thoughtful balance of self-directed play and rigorous Spanish education, with an enhanced focus on literacy and language development.
The name El Bosque Encantado (The Enchanted Forest) comes from the rainforests of Guatemala, where Katie participated in an exchange program as a teen, and has continued to visit regularly for more than 20 years.
Meet Katie
El Bosque founder Katie Moras is a licensed Minnesota Spanish educator who taught junior high school Spanish for six years. Although Señora Moras greatly enjoyed working with teens, she saw how many struggled to learn a second language—and how easy it was for her own very small children to learn Spanish with her at home.
In earning her Masters of Art in Teaching, Katie focused her thesis work on the ability of young children to effortlessly excel in second language learning, and the seed for El Bosque Encantado was planted.
Location
As a Prior Lake resident, Katie established El Bosque Encantado in her own community to give children ‘south of the river’ the same access to bilingual education that exists in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro areas.
EBE is located at 15033 Highway 13 South, Suite 2000, Prior Lake, MN 55372.
